Rathin Mandal has a strong background in engineering and technical roles spanning over 25 years. Rathin currently serves as a Lead Engineer at the Institute of Microelectronics, starting in July 2020. Prior to this, Rathin worked at AMD for 20 years as a Senior Member of Technical Staff. In this role, they gained extensive experience in integrated circuit package development, package reliability modeling and testing, structural analysis and mechanical design, and thermal and fluid flow analysis. Rathin'sexpertise also includes reliability testing for electronics materials, 2.5D/3D package development, drop/impact testing, and moisture diffusion testing. Rathin's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Research Engineer at C-DOT Centre for Development of Telematics. Here, they specialized in mechanical design, drafting, autoCAD/solidworks, thermal and fluid flow analysis for electronic system cooling, and vendor development for electronics components.
Rathin Mandal completed their Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University in the field of Mechanical in the period of 1989 to 1993. Following this, they pursued their Master of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) with a specialization in Mechanical for the years 1993 to 1995.
