Michael Clayton

Michael Clayton is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in motorsports PR and media relations. Currently serving as a Senior Communications Officer at Aston Martin F1 Team since January 2023, Michael previously held the position of F1 Press Officer at Alpine, where responsibilities included managing media and PR for Fernando Alonso during the team's rebranding from Renault to Alpine. Michael's background also includes a role as Press Officer at Renault Sport Racing, overseeing media for Daniel Ricciardo during the 2020 Formula 1 season, and operating as Senior Account Executive at Edelman, where management of Shell Motorsports' press office was key. Early career efforts included roles in various communications positions and a stint as a freelance sports writer. Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Sports Journalism from St Mary’s University and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Nutrition and Health Sciences from Nottingham Trent University.
