Alex Welsby has a diverse work experience in the fields of data and insights, marketing, and management. Alex is currently serving as the Head of Data & Insights at Aston Villa Football Club since January 2024. Before this, they held the position of Senior Data & Insights Manager from July 2023 to January 2024. Prior to joining Aston Villa Football Club, Alex worked at The Midcounties Co-operative where they served as an Insight Manager from August 2018 to November 2019. Alex also held roles such as Customer Journey Manager, Product & Pricing Analyst, Commercial Programme Coordinator, Graduate Management Trainee, and Duty Manager/Supervisor during their tenure at The Midcounties Co-operative from 2007 to 2019.
Alex Welsby obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Studies from the University of Liverpool, completing the program from 2010 to 2013. Additionally, Alex earned a certification in Social Marketing from Hootsuite in 2019.
