Sierra Gegenheimer

Sierra Gegenheimer is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Binti, Inc. since January 2022, Sierra leads the development of the Licensing module using technologies such as Ruby on Rails, React, GraphQL, and Postgres. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at Cruise from July 2018 to January 2022 as a tech lead on the simulation team, focusing on the design and implementation of NPC agents. Earlier roles include working at The Aerospace Corporation in the Astrodynamics Department, as a student researcher at Michigan Exploration Laboratory, and participating in exploratory engineering at Planetary Resources, Inc. Sierra holds a Master of Engineering in Space Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics with a focus on Astrophysics from the University of California, Berkeley.
