Conor Dean

Conor Dean is a seasoned scientist with significant expertise in medicinal chemistry and organic synthesis. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca since January 2024, Conor previously held a similar role at BenevolentAI, focusing on a Parkinson’s Disease program over two years. Conor's academic background includes a postdoctoral position at the University of Oxford, specializing in asymmetric catalysis, and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Warwick, where research concentrated on cyclic hydrazine frameworks for drug discovery. Earlier experience includes a role as an Analytical Chemist at MedPharm Ltd.
