Dr Zara Ghazoui

Dr. Zara Ghazoui currently serves as the Director of Data Strategy, Data Science, and AI at AstraZeneca, where responsibilities include leading strategic partnerships between the Data Science/AI function and Oncology Research and Development to facilitate digital transformation and enhance data access while ensuring compliance with regulations. Previous roles at AstraZeneca included Principal Data Scientist and Senior Oncology Bioinformatics Scientist, with a focus on innovative genomic analyses and biomarker identification. Prior experience at QIAGEN involved driving next-generation DNA sequencing and collaborating on biomarker and diagnostic development. Dr. Ghazoui holds a PhD in Data Science from the University of York and multiple degrees from Imperial College London and UCL, including Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Biotechnology and Computer Science.
