Joe Bateman

Joe Bateman is a highly skilled Senior Research Scientist at AstraZeneca since August 2022, with prior experience as a Senior Scientist II and Senior Scientist in Drug Discovery at Pharmaron from August 2019 to August 2022. Joe's career began at Janssen, Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson and Johnson, where valuable experience was gained as a Medicinal Chemistry Student from September 2013 to August 2014. Joe holds a PhD in Synthetic Chemistry from the University of Bristol, obtained in 2019 under the Aggarwal group, and an MSci in Medicinal and Biological Chemistry from the University of Nottingham, completed in 2015. Educational background also includes attendance at Worcester Sixth Form College from 2009 to 2011.
