Nikolaos Biris

Nikolaos Biris serves as the Director of Assay Development at Astria Therapeutics, Inc. since February 2022, following a tenure as Director of Protein Sciences and Scientific Project Leader at BrickBio, Inc. Nikolaos previously held the positions of Principal Project Scientist and Senior Research Scientist at HarkerBIO, and Research Associate at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where efforts focused on protein-protein interactions within the mitochondrial cell death pathway, particularly regarding the BAX protein. Nikolaos Biris's early career includes postdoctoral fellowships at UT Health Science Center, Rockefeller University, and Rutgers University, as well as a visiting research associate role at Utrecht University. Nikolaos Biris holds a PhD in Peptide Chemistry and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Ioannina.
