James A. Rushton is a seasoned professional in the field of maritime operations and training, currently serving as the Unmanned Maritime Systems Program Manager for Astrion and Oasis Systems since October 2015. With prior experience in the US Navy spanning from 1990 to 2015, Rushton held significant leadership roles, including Surface Warfare Division Head at the Tactical Training Group Pacific, where responsibilities encompassed advanced training for Pacific Fleet Destroyer Squadrons, and Director of crew certification and training for the Naval Surface Force, Pacific. Key accomplishments include commanding the USS DEXTROUS and managing substantial budgets and operations, as well as pioneering the Fleet Maritime Fusion Center for the U.S. Sixth Fleet. Rushton holds a Master's Degree in International Relations and National Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School, a Bachelor's Degree in Management from Excelsior University, and an Associate's Degree in Sonar Technology from Olympic College.
