Al Colebourn has over 18 years of experience in spacecraft operations engineering. Al has held roles such as Head of Spacecraft Operations at Astroscale, Spacecraft Operations Engineer at EUMETSAT, Consultant at ispace, inc. and OHB System, Space Mission Analyst as an independent consultant, and Manager at Iron Awe. Their responsibilities have included coordinating sub-system teams, creating test plans, leading flight control teams, providing technical consulting services, and managing client relationships and project delivery.
Al Colebourn pursued their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Aerospace Engineering at The University of Manchester from 1996 to 1999. Al then continued their education at Cranfield University, obtaining a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Astronautics and Space Engineering from 1999 to 2000. Al furthered their studies at Cranfield University, working towards a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computational Continuum Mechanics - Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics from 2000 to 2002.
