Katie McDermott is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in derivatives clearing services and post-trade operations. Currently serving as the General Manager of Derivatives Clearing Services and Equity Post Trade at ASX since March 2014, Katie leads innovative projects, including the implementation of Distributed Ledger Technology (Blockchain) for the Equities C&S system. Previous roles at ASX included General Manager of Post Trade and Issuer Services Operations, where Katie managed a large team and oversaw operations for 2,220 listed companies. Prior to ASX, Katie held various positions at Barclays Investment Bank, including Global COO for Emerging Markets, and served as a Senior Relationship Manager at the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation. Katie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and holds additional qualifications from KU Leuven and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
