Lorenz Kolb is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on software and hardware development. Currently serving as Vice Unit Director Software Machines and System Architect at ASYS Group since October 2016, Kolb is responsible for system design of new machinery and coordinating between mechanical and software engineering. Prior to this role, Kolb was a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Missing Link Electronics from November 2008 to September 2016, specializing in hardware-software co-design and team leadership, along with customer engagement and requirements assessment. Earlier experience includes working as a Student Assistant at the University of Ulm, tutoring programming students, and as an intern at ESIC GmbH, contributing to hardware bring-up and Linux device driver development. Lorenz Kolb holds a Diplom in Electrical Engineering from Ulm University, completed in 2008, and possesses a strong foundation in mathematics from Gymnasium Donauwoerth, where A-Levels were attained.
