At The Crossroads

At The Crossroads (ATC) brings supplies and counseling services onto the streets, cultivating long-term, unconditional relationships with youth experiencing homelessness who would otherwise be disconnected from support. Through these relationships, we empower our clients to accomplish their personal goals, build community, and pursue their passions. ATC accomplishes our mission through six core activities: – Street Outreach: Counselors walk the streets at night to meet and build relationships with homeless youth, offering much-needed supplies like food, hygiene items, and socks. – One-to-One Counseling: Counselors meet with youth during the day to provide individualized, strengths-based support. We help youth identify their goals and create realistic plans of action. – On-The-Spot Counseling: During the day, our most experienced counselors walk the streets and offer youth on-the-spot meetings and a bite to eat, removing barriers to services for the most disconnected youth. – Jail-Based Counseling: Our staff works with clients when they become incarcerated, providing support and transition planning as clients reflect on their lives and their goals. – Collaboration: We connect clients with other agencies that can address their needs and support them through the process of accessing services. – Systemic Change: We advocate for the improvement of existing services and the creation of new ones to ensure our clients can meet their needs in the most effective ways possible.
We have seen firsthand how the path to more stability is long and winding for the young people we support. That’s why, when our clients invite us, we walk every step of the way with them. We remain a consistent relationship that our clients can rely on as they begin to build healthy and fulfilling lives.
