Sean Ruddy has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in different companies. Sean started their career in 2007 as a Website Content Editor at the Royal Institute of British Architects, where they were responsible for publishing content and writing copy. Sean then moved on to Videojug Networks in 2009, where they worked as a Web & Video Editor, focusing on uploading content, increasing fan engagement, and creating images for campaigns. In the same year, they also worked as a Runner, Video assist, and Editor at Stormglass Productions. In 2009, they joined Racecourse Media Group as a Digital CRM Executive, managing digital customer relationship management. Sean later joined Racing TV in 2014 as a Senior Digital Content Editor & Support Executive. Most recently, Sean has been with At The Races since 2015, initially serving as the eCRM Manager and later as the CRM Lead. In these roles, they were responsible for managing email marketing campaigns, customer retention, and lifetime value, as well as overseeing the implementation of eCRM strategies.

From 2003 to 2006, Sean Ruddy attended the University of Westminster where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Animation. Their field of study focused on Interactive Technology, Video Graphics, and Special Effects.

At The Races is a horse racing media rights company which operates the Sky Sports Racing TV channel and the website attheraces.com and the At The Races app. Domestic distribution of the TV channel extends to over 14 million UK and Irish homes via digital satellite and cable television on the following channels: Sky 415, Virgin 535 and Virgin Ireland 418. The company is majority owned by Sky and operates through a joint venture between Sky, Arena Racing Company (ARC) and other racecourses. At The Races have the rights for 25 UK racetracks including Ascot, Chester and Doncaster. These are available on Sky Sports Racing Channel via Sky Channel 415 and Virgin 535.
