Olivier Kashongwe, PhD, has had a diverse range of work experience in the field of research and academia. Olivier currently works as a Research Scientist at the Leibniz-Institut für Agrartechnik und Bioökonomie e.V. (ATB) since January 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Lecturer at Egerton University starting from November 2017. From May 2014 to November 2017, they held the position of Chef des Travaux at Institut Supérieur des Techniques Médicales. Olivier also worked as a PhD student at Egerton University from September 2013 to March 2017. Their early experience includes serving as an Assistant de Recherche at the Centre de Recherche en Science Naturelle (CRSN) from January 2010 to September 2014.

Dr. Olivier Kashongwe has an extensive education background in the field of animal sciences. Olivier obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from Egerton University from 2013 to 2017, specializing in Animal Sciences. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Sciences degree in Animal Nutrition from Egerton University from 2010 to 2013. Olivier has a strong foundation in agriculture, acquiring their Ingenieur Agronome degree in Zootechnie from the University of Kinshasa between 2001 and 2006. Dr. Kashongwe's educational background in animal sciences and nutrition showcases their expertise in the field. Although not included in the education history, they have also obtained certification in "Intro to Python for Data Science" from DataCamp.
