Redmond R. Shamshiri has a diverse work experience in the field of agricultural engineering and bioeconomy. In 2008, Redmond founded Adaptive AgroTech Consultancy International, where they held the role of Founder. In 2015, Redmond joined Wageningen University & Research as a Visiting Researcher, where they worked until 2016. Currently, Redmond is a Scientific Researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy since October 2018.

Redmond R. Shamshiri's education history begins in 2001 when they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Engineering Mechanics from Bu-Ali Sina University. Redmond then went on to pursue further education, starting in 2005, at Universiti Putra Malaysia, where they obtained a Master's degree in Smart Technology through coursework and research in 2006.

In 2007, Redmond enrolled at the University of Florida and embarked on a Doctoral Program in Biosystem Engineering. Redmond completed this program in 2011, earning an Engineer's Degree. During their time at the University of Florida, they also obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biosystems Engineering, which was awarded in 2009.

In 2012, Redmond returned to Universiti Putra Malaysia to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Automation/Simulation and Modeling, which they obtained in 2014.
