David Lara Arango

David Lara Arango, Ph.D., is a highly experienced data science and engineering professional currently serving as Chief Data Scientist/AI-Data-Software Engineer at Atea Norge AS and a member of the program committee for Make Data Smart Bergen. With a robust background that includes leadership roles at Equinor and Fjordkraft, David has successfully led various initiatives in data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning across multiple organizations. His mentoring contributions extend to Springboard, MentorCruise, and Hylia.io, among others, where David provides individualized guidance to aspiring data professionals. Academically, David holds a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering and Computational Game Theory from the University of Bergen and has extensive research experience in decision sciences and oil geopolitics.
