John McAleer

John McAleer, CISA, CISSP, serves as the Executive Director of Engineering – Information Security at athenahealth, overseeing teams focused on IT security infrastructure and incident response. With a strong background in information security management, McAleer previously held roles such as Director and Senior Manager of IT Security at athenahealth, as well as Senior IT Security and Audit Manager at O'Connor & Drew, P.C. Experience also includes technical leadership at Dyn and audit responsibilities at State Street. McAleer holds a Master’s degree in IT Management from Brandeis University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
