Julien Bachmann

Chief Scientific Officer at ATLANT 3D Nanosystems

Julien Bachmann has a diverse work experience in academic and research institutions. Julien started their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics in 2006. Julien then worked as a Senior Scientist at the University of Hamburg from 2007 to 2009, and later became a Junior Professor at the same institution until 2012. From 2012 to 2017, they served as an Associate Professor at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. In 2017, they joined Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg as a Full Professor and also took up a Full Professor position at Saint Petersburg State University in the same year. Julien currently holds the position of Chief Scientific Officer at ATLANT 3D Nanosystems since 2020.

Julien Bachmann received a Master's degree from the University of Lausanne - UNIL in 2001. Julien later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completing it in 2006.
