Corey Carson MD, CAQSM, is a Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician at Piedmont since December 2023, and serves as Team Physician for Atlanta United FC. Previously, Corey held the position of Head Team Physician at Grossmont College from August 2016 to December 2023, and was the Medical Director of Sports Medicine and Clinical Faculty for Family Medicine Residency at Family Health Centers of San Diego during the same period. Corey completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at UC San Diego and served as Fellow Team Physician for the Los Angeles Chargers, San Diego Sockers, and Southwestern Community College District from July 2015 to July 2016. Corey earned a Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University School of Medicine and attended undergraduate studies at Syracuse University, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Journalism.
