John Gore has extensive work experience in the shipping industry. John began their career in 1989 as a Pricing Analyst at ACL Services UK, where they priced French and Swiss cargo. In 1990, they joined ACL Europe BV as the Westbound Pricing and Conference Manager, representing the company at rate and tariff meetings. John then moved to Atlantic Container Line (ACL) in 1996, starting as the General Manager Trades and later becoming the Vice President, Commercial Europe. In these roles, they oversaw trade management and secured westbound traffics for the company. Throughout their career, John has adapted to the changing industry and has continuously learned to meet new challenges.
John Gore attended Hollybrook School in Bassett, Southampton from 1969 to 1977. Following this, they went on to study at Glen Eyre Comprehensive in Southampton, UK from 1977 to 1981. After completing their education there, John attended Richard Taunton College from 1981 to 1983. Finally, they studied at Goldsmiths College in London from 1983 to 1986, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Geography (Hons).

ACL offers five transatlantic sailings each week and also handles the Grimaldi Lines’ service between the U.S. & West Africa and the Grimaldi EuroMed Service between North America and the Mediterranean. The Company also offers service for non-containerizeable cargo to the Middle East, South Africa, Australia and the Far East. ACL is a Grimaldi Group company.
