Joe Cofelice is Executive Vice President – Commercial Development. He joined the Company in September 2015 from General Compression, Inc., a compressed air energy storage technology company, where he had been Chief Executive Officer and a member of its Board of Directors since December 2012. From 2010 to September 2015, Mr. Cofelice served as Chief Executive Officer and then Chairman of Westerly Wind LLC, a provider of project development capital to the wind industry.
Both General Compression and Westerly Wind were part of US Renewables Group's portfolio of investments. From 2002 to 2008, Mr. Cofelice was the President of Catamount Energy Corporation. Prior to his tenure at Catamount, he served in a number of management roles at American National Power from 1987 to 2002, including serving as Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Cofelice has more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University.

Atlantic Power Corporation (Atlantic Power) owns and operates a fleet of power generation assets in the United States and Canada. The Company's power generation projects sell electricity to utilities and other commercial customers. Atlantic Power's segments include East U.S., West U.S. and Canada. The Company's East U.S. segment comprises natural gas, biomass, coal and hydro projects. The Company's projects under the West U.S. segment include Naval Station, Naval Training Center, North Island, Oxnard, Manchief and Frederickson, which are focused on natural gas, and Koma Kulshan, which is focused on hydro. Under the Canada segment, the Company's projects located in British Columbia include Mamquam, Mamquam and Williams Lake. Its Calstock and Tunis projects are located in Ontario. The Company's portfolio consisted of interests in 19 operational power generation projects across nine states in the United States and two provinces in Canada, as of December 31, 2016.
