Denis Kouroussis has held a variety of roles in the technology industry since 1998. Denis started their career as an ASIC Engineer at ATI in 1998, followed by a Research Engineer role at IBM in 2001. In 2004, they became a Senior Methodology Engineer at AMD. In 2007, Denis moved to Apache Design Solutions as a Field Applications Engineer. In 2013, they were appointed as VP of Technology at Virtual Power Systems. In 2014, Denis became Founder & CSO at Atom Power, where they helped create the world's first UL Listed Solid State Circuit Breaker. Finally, in 2009, Denis founded Volta Energy, where they currently serve as Founder & CEO, bringing the Enterprise Cloud Platform to industry and creating value for customers.
Denis Kouroussis began their education at Brebeuf. Denis then attended the University of Toronto from 1992-1996 where they earned a B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering. Denis continued their studies at the University of Toronto from 1996-1998 where they earned an M.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering. Denis then pursued a PhD in Computer Engineering from 2000-2006 at the University of Toronto. Denis also holds a Professional Engineer certification from Professional Engineers Ontario.
