Markus Bauman

Markus Bauman currently serves as the Chief Legal and Business Affairs Officer at CMR Surgical and as a member of the Atomico Expert Network, supporting innovative technology firms. Bauman holds a Board Member position at the University of Illinois Foundation. Previously, Bauman was the General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer at Matillion, where leadership included scaling the legal function and managing investor relations. Prior to Matillion, Bauman was a partner at Goodwin, where contributions included expanding the Tech/Life Sciences practice in Europe, and held roles at King & Spalding and Latham & Watkins, achieving significant milestones in capital markets. Bauman's extensive experience in corporate law and capital markets is backed by a JD/MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
