Adnan Riaz is a Development Engineer at attocube systems AG since December 2019 and a PhD Student at Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) and Technical University of Darmstadt (TUD) since March 2015, focusing on waveguide integrated nanotube light sources and detectors. Previous experience includes a role as a Visiting Researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory, working on room-temperature single photon emitters using semiconducting carbon nanotubes, and a Master thesis at the Institute of Nanotechnology, which involved optimizing the synthesis process and characterizing nano-crystalline graphene. Additional positions include Research Assistant at ANKA Synchrotron, an Internship at Polytec, and various roles in research and education during earlier academic studies. Adnan Riaz holds a Master's degree in Optics and Photonics from KIT and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from American International University-Bangladesh.
