Tobias Maerkl is an experienced physicist currently serving as a Project Leader at attocube systems AG since January 2021. Prior to this role, Tobias held a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at the University of Canterbury from August 2016 to April 2020, where responsibilities included teaching an "Introduction to Solid State Physics" course. Tobias also worked as a Research Associate at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from December 2010 to September 2015, focusing on experimental solid state physics and surface science, particularly utilizing low temperature scanning tunneling microscopy. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Physics and a Diplom in Physics from KIT, along with an international experience at North Carolina State University.
