Audiokinetic
Brian McHugh is an experienced software developer with a strong background in audio middleware and graphics-centric applications. Since December 2016, Brian has been contributing to Audiokinetic as a software developer specializing in Wwise audio middleware. Prior to this role, Brian worked at Toon Boom Animation Inc. from May 2011 to June 2016, focusing on development across multiple platforms, including OSX, Windows, and Linux, using C++ and Qt. Brian's earlier experience includes game programming at Behaviour Interactive, where gameplay work was completed on Wii titles and prototyping for Xbox360 Kinect. Additionally, Brian served as a senior software developer at Autodesk Media and Entertainment, designing and developing advanced compositing and editing features using C++, Unix/Linux, and OpenGL. Brian began a career in software development at CAE, contributing to the MaxVUE visual system. Educationally, Brian holds a BMath in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, obtained in 1985.
