Joe McQuaid

Joe McQuaid is an accomplished clinical leader in urologic oncology with extensive experience in healthcare management and clinical development. Currently serving as Clinical Lead and Executive Director of Clinical Development at Aura Biosciences since January 2024, Joe previously held multiple key positions at UMass Memorial Medical Center, including Associate Chief Medical Officer and Vice Chair of the Department of Urology. Joe played a pivotal role in establishing a pediatric urology division, increasing referrals significantly, and optimizing clinical operations. Joe's diverse background includes clinical fellowships at Boston Children's Hospital and significant leadership roles in surgical care and quality improvement initiatives. An alumnus of prestigious institutions including MIT Sloan School of Management and Harvard Medical School, Joe holds an MBA, an MD, and an MPH, further underscoring a robust foundation in both clinical practice and healthcare administration.
