Danika Ahr currently serves as General Counsel for the Aura Blockchain Consortium since March 2022, where responsibilities include providing strategic advice and leading regulatory and compliance assessments in areas such as data privacy and sustainability. Prior to this role, Danika spent over two decades at BAT, progressing through multiple legal leadership positions including Group Assistant General Counsel, where contributions to the global Legal & External Affairs leadership team were made, and Group Head of Legal New Categories & Marketing, focusing on legal support for marketing and commercial strategies. Other notable roles at BAT include Area Head of Legal & Regulatory Affairs for Swiss Area, Head of Legal for France, and Senior Legal Counsel for Canada, among others. Danika’s legal career began as a legal intern at Me Kohler law firm, following a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Geneva and passing the Swiss Bar Exam.
