Peter Iles

Peter Iles is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in software engineering and computer vision. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager in Computer Vision and Machine Learning at Aurora Solar since March 2023, Peter Iles has honed skills in managing teams and applying software process best practices during a prior role as Director of Software Engineering at Quanergy, where development focused on automated tracking software. Previous experiences include key roles at Neptec Design Group, where contributions included the development and support of vision and navigation systems for NASA shuttle missions and lunar rover prototypes, as well as expertise in real-time inspection capabilities. Peter Iles began the career as a Computer Vision Algorithm Developer at Tangam Systems, specializing in real-time object tracking for gaming applications. Academic qualifications include a Master of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
