Dr. Michael Hoppe has extensive work experience in the metals industry. Dr. Michael started their career in 1994 as a Production Manager for Rolled Products at Aurubis Stolberg GmbH & Co. KG. In 2000, they joined Aurubis AG as a Senior Manager for Production Rolled Products, and later became a Senior Manager for Product Technology & Quality. In 2007, they were promoted to Vice President of Research & Development, and in 2011, they were appointed Vice President of Operations & Technology Development for the Flat Rolled Products segment.
Dr. Michael Hoppe began their education at RWTH Aachen University in 1983, where they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy & Material Science with a specialization in Metal Forming in 1989. Dr. Michael further pursued their studies at the same university and earned their Ph.D. in Metal Forming from the Institute for Metal Forming at RWTH Aachen in 1994.
