Samara Porter

Samara Porter is an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer with a robust background in mechanical engineering, particularly within the mining and mineral processing industry. Currently at Ausenco since September 2021, previous roles include Lead Mechanical Engineer at DRA Global, focusing on the Lihir Front End Recovery Project, and over a decade at Ausenco in various capacities such as Senior Mechanical Engineer and Reliability and Planning Superintendent. Samara has led optimization projects and teams across significant projects, including the RG Gold CIP Project and multiple roles in the Carrapateena and Rosemont projects. Samara holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from James Cook University, complemented by undergraduate engineering experience at BHP Billiton and Anglo Coal.
