Karen Page

Karen Page possesses extensive experience in healthcare leadership and education, currently serving as the Divisional Manager of Cardiac and Specialty Surgery at Austin Health since February 2017. In this key operational role, Karen oversees the strategic management of cardiac and specialty surgery services while fostering an environment that supports effective patient-centered care. Previous roles include Project Manager for the Endoscopic Fleet Management Program, Clinical Change Facilitator at The Austin Hospital, and National Manager of Health Equity and Secondary Prevention at the National Heart Foundation, where efforts focused on reducing heart disease disparities within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Karen has held academic positions, including Adjunct Professor at Deakin University and Associate Professor of Research at Australian Catholic University, complemented by a significant research background in cardiovascular disease. Karen holds multiple degrees from La Trobe University, including a Doctorate of Nursing, and a foundational nursing education from institutions in the UK.
