Job description

Position Summary

Austin Retina Associates is seeking a responsible, self-motivated individual to join our call center team. This role will include making and changing appointments and other assigned duties.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Answer 200-300 phone calls per day with multiple calls coming in at once
  • Schedule and change patient appointments using multiple software systems
  • Communicate with the scheduling team as needed to ensure calls are answered timely
  • Take messages for staff as needed
  • Assess patient needs and schedule them accordingly, communicating with physician and/or their teams as needed
  • Communicate with physician teams as needed to support their scheduling needs
  • Perform administrative support as needed

Required Skill/Abilities

  • Fluent bilingual in Spanish
  • Demonstrated effectiveness showing courtesy, diligence, integrity, and teamwork
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills (effective listening, clear communication, effective customer problem resolution, warm demeanor)

Desired Attributes

  • Experience with a busy phone in an office setting
  • Experience with medical scheduling

  • Market competitive starting pay. Pay range: $18 - $22 / hr (commensurate with experience)
