Austin Transit Partnership
Yannis Banks, ENV SP, currently serves as the President of the COMTO Austin Chapter and the Public Involvement Manager for the Austin Transit Partnership, where responsibilities include overseeing community outreach programs for MetroRapid lines and the Green Line, coordinating public information, and responding to community inquiries. In addition to these roles, Yannis co-hosts political and social talk shows on KAZI 88.7 Radio, providing a platform for community engagement and discussion. Previous experience includes work as a Community Involvement Specialist and Community Engagement Coordinator for Capital Metro, as well as a Legislative Liaison for the Texas NAACP, where Yannis advocated for civil rights and developed partnerships with grassroots organizations. Yannis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Texas State University.

The Austin Transit Partnership (ATP) was created in 2020 as the independent entity responsible for the overall implementation of Light Rail in Austin. ATP’s mission is to deliver on the voters' transit vision in partnership with the community — and in a way that embeds equity, sustainability, and transparency as overarching priorities. ATP is driven by data, which includes community input, and is committed to meeting voters’ goals and honoring Austin’s values.
