The Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) is Australia’s only national institution exclusively dedicated to the rich history, culture, and heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We are a globally respected research, archival, and publishing organisation, working to build a deeper understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, traditions, languages, and stories.
