Liam Shanahan

Liam Shanahan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in engineering and software development. Currently serving as Director, Technical Manager, and Software Developer at Australian Pressure Laboratory since 2009, responsibilities include instrument calibration in pressure and electrical fields, process improvement, software development in .Net and Java, mechanical design, and training. Previous experience as a Project Engineer at General Motors Holden from 2006 to 2008 involved project management, mechanical design of automotive components, and testing and verification. Liam holds dual degrees from RMIT University: a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Computer Science, both completed from 2000 to 2005.

Australian Pressure Laboratory

Australian Pressure Laboratory is a specialist ISO/IEC 17025 NATA accredited laboratory for calibration of Dead Weight Testers, Pressure Calibrators, Air-Data Test Sets, Pirani and Capacitance Diaphragm Gauges and a full range of general pressure instruments and electrical instruments. We offer some of the lowest accredited uncertainties in pressure in the Asia-Pacific region as well as low uncertainties in DC electrical quantities. Our staff are among the most experienced and knowledgeable in pressure calibration in Australia and are key contributors to the Metrology Society of Australasia - Pressure Interest Group, with several of us also assisting NATA as Technical Assessors.
