Dominik Janisch

UTM Coordinator at Austro Control

Dominik Janisch is an experienced professional specializing in air traffic management and ecological design. Currently serving as a UTM Coordinator at Austro Control since November 2022, Dominik oversees the deployment and improvement of the Dronespace UTM system. As a PhD Candidate in Ecological Design at Technische Universiteit Delft, Dominik focuses on developing an ecological interface for managing autonomous UAV and urban air mobility traffic, while actively participating in the UTM community and tutoring Master's students. Prior to these roles, Dominik worked as an R&D and Innovation Engineer at CRIDA A.I.E., contributing to U-space initiatives and various SESAR projects. Additional experience includes a Human Factors Engineering internship at Airbus Defence and Space and a Mechanical Engineering internship at AMES GmbH. Dominik holds a Master of Science in Engineering from FH Joanneum and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from FH Joanneum, with further studies at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and Inholland University of Applied Sciences.
