David Cuddihy is the current Chief Technology Officer at Autonomy Capital, a position they have held since April 2012. Prior to joining Autonomy Capital, Cuddihy served as Global Markets Manager at Opera Solutions from January 2010 to April 2012. In this role, they were responsible for close collaboration with the heads of the Capital Markets Group at Opera in both research and engineering.
As lead engineer on the productionization of Opera's financial advisor recommendation models, Cuddihy re-engineered models implemented in SASS, Matlab, and R on a real-time production system using Hadoop, Java, Jython, and Python. This required a deep understanding of the statistical models, input data, technical infrastructure, and management of development teams spanning the US, Europe, and Asia.
Cuddihy also worked as researcher and market consultant in collaboration with the machine learning team at Opera on research that applied machine learning techniques to the markets. This research included trading signals from news sources and various statistical techniques. In the process, Cuddihy developed a REST/Python based workbench for signal research.
prior to their work at Opera Solutions, Cuddihy served as Co-Founder at ARCHIMEDES CAPITAL LTD from January 2009 to December 2010.
David Cuddihy has a Masters in Applied Math and Finance from Baruch College and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
David Cuddihy reports to Robert Gibbins, Partner, Founder and Chief Investment Officer. They work with Farid Bassiri - Chief Risk Officer, Craig Welter - CCO, Head of Legal and Compliance, and Derek Goodman - Partner and Chief Strategic Officer.
