Ray Dai is currently working as Energy Market and Credit Risk Management at East Bay Community Energy. Previously, Ray held the position of Manager, Energy Risk and Analytics at Central Coast Community Energy. Prior to that, Ray was the Energy Risk & Commercial Compliance Officer at NCPA. With a background in Power Markets and Transactions at Navigant, Ray has extensive experience in developing risk assessment models, managing energy portfolios, and evaluating power procurement contracts. Ray holds a Master's degree in Public Policy and International Economics & Policy in Energy from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.

Ava Community Energy (Ava), formerly East Bay Community Energy (EBCE), is the local, not-for-profit electricity supplier powering Alameda County and the City of Tracy (electricity service to the Cities of Stockton and Lathrop will begin in 2025). Ava provides clean, green energy at low rates to our 640,000 customers. We reinvest earnings back into the community to create local green energy jobs, local programs, and clean power projects. Ava member cities include Albany, Berkeley, Dublin, Emeryville, Fremont, Hayward, Livermore, Newark, Oakland, Piedmont, Pleasanton, San Leandro, Stockton, Tracy, and Union City. The unincorporated areas of Alameda County (including Ashland, Castro Valley, Cherryland, Fairview, San Lorenzo, and Sunol) are also served by Ava.
