Bernice Chauly

Bernice Chauly is a seasoned writer and educator with extensive experience in creative writing and literature. Currently serving as a Senior Writer and Cultural Advisor at Avalanche Studios Group since April 2020, Bernice has also held significant roles such as Director and Writing Instructor at KL Writers Workshop from May 2015 to June 2022 and Lecturer in Creative Writing at The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus until December 2020. A prolific participant in global literary festivals, Bernice has showcased work at prestigious events including the Edinburgh Book Festival and Melbourne Writer's Festival. Additionally, Bernice directed the George Town Literary Festival from June 2011 to November 2018, receiving the Literary Festival Award at the London Book Fair's International Excellence Awards in 2018. Educationally, Bernice holds a degree from The University of Winnipeg and is an Honorary Fellow in Writing from the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa.
