Mechelle Penton

Mechelle Penton, CPA, CTE, has extensive experience in the tax examination field, currently serving as a Senior Tax Examiner at both BPA and Avenu Insights & Analytics since July 2012. Prior to these roles, Mechelle held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Washington Parish Sheriff's Department from July 2008 to June 2012 and worked as a Controller at Continental Underwriters, Ltd. from May 2004 to June 2008. Mechelle earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Accounting and Business/Management from Southeastern Louisiana University between 1997 and 2001, and completed secondary education at Franklinton High School from 1994 to 1997.
