Anneke Raney has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Anneke is currently the Executive Director of Program and Alliance Management at Avidity Biosciences, Inc. Since joining Avidity Biosciences in 2019, they have held various roles including Senior Director of Alliance Management, Program Management, and Operations, and Director of Program Management and Operations. In these positions, they have been responsible for strategic planning and coordination of internal and external R&D activities, managing research collaborations with pharmaceutical and academic partners, and overseeing R&D operations. Prior to their time at Avidity Biosciences, Anneke worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Gilead Sciences and as the Director of Virology at Ardea Biosciences. Anneke also has experience as an Independent Biopharmaceutical Consultant and as a Research Associate at The Scripps Research Institute.
Anneke Raney has a B.A. degree in Biological Sciences from Smith College. Anneke later pursued their Ph.D. at the University of Warwick, specializing in Virology and Molecular Biology.
