Virginia Carty

Virginia Carty currently serves as the Director of Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance at AvidXchange, Inc., beginning in August 2025. Prior to this role, Virginia served as Associate Director of Cybersecurity and Virtual Chief Information Security Officer at Agio from January 2014 to August 2025, where responsibilities included serving as a strategic cybersecurity advisor and overseeing the development of security programs. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant and Virtual Chief Information Security Officer at LogRhythm and leading security research initiatives as the Network Security Research Analyst and LogRhythm Labs Team Lead. Virginia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems with a Security Track from DeVry University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Oboe Performance from Adams State University.
