David Thompson

David Thompson is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as a System Planning Engineer at Avista since December 2010. Throughout this tenure, David has held various positions including Electrical Engineer in the Protection Group and EM&V Engineer, focusing on energy policy, planning, and efficiency evaluation. Prior to Avista, David worked as the Director of Energy Analytics at Advantage IQ from December 2006 to June 2010, and as Engineering Manager at Telect, Inc. from 1994 to 2006. David holds a Master of Engineering Management degree from Washington State University (1997-2001) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Seattle Pacific University (1986-1990).
