Georgiy Akopian

Georgiy Akopian is an experienced leader in the urban mobility and technology sectors, currently serving as an Advisory Board Member and Managing Director of the Services Vertical at Avito since August 2021. Previously, Georgiy held the position of Chief Operating Officer and Management Board Member at Citymobil from September 2018 to August 2021, where significant growth in Ride-Hailing Business GMV from $50M to over $600M was achieved, positioning the company as Russia's second-largest urban mobility tech firm. With a strong background in regional operations and expansion, Georgiy successfully launched new business directions outside Moscow and led the expansion into over 30 cities. Prior roles include General Manager of Yandex Go Armenia and Business Development Manager roles at both Yandex Go Russia and Hays. Georgiy holds a Master's degree in Professional and Business Communication from La Salle University and a Bachelor's degree in Management from the Higher School of Economics.
