Meredith Gibson has extensive work experience in various roles. Meredith started their career in 1999 as an Event Manager at the American Lung Association of Washington, where they worked until 2006. In 2007, they briefly worked as a Traffic Coordinator at the University of Washington. Since 2008, they have been associated with the Association for Women in Science, initially as a Program Manager, then as the Director of Special Projects, and later as the Chief Operating Officer. From January 2022 to July 2022, they served as the Interim Chief Executive Officer before taking over the role permanently in July 2022.
Meredith Gibson earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Studies from the University of Washington. Additionally, Meredith obtained a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business in May 2021.
