Jinal Pothupitiya

Jinal Pothupitiya, Ph.D., is a Senior Analytical Scientist at Axalta since November 2024, previously serving as Scientist II in Polymer Chemistry at Secant Group, LLC, where the focus was on characterizing polyol-polyacid-based prepolymers. With a postdoctoral experience at Yale University from July 2019 to November 2022, Jinal transitioned from organic chemistry to biomedical engineering, working on novel polymeric materials for drug delivery in cancer therapy. Prior to this, Jinal was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Rhode Island and a Teaching Assistant at the College of Chemical Sciences, Institute of Chemistry Ceylon, gaining substantial teaching experience. Early career involved a role as a Process Control Executive at Midas Safety - Work Wear Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Rhode Island and a Graduateship in Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon.
