John Vilches has over 40 years of experience in the IT industry. John began their career in 1979 as an Analyst at Prudential Insurance. In 1982, they moved to Unisys - Burroughs Corporation - System Development Corporation as a Specialist. In 1993, they became a Senior Systems Engineer at Dole Food Company, followed by a Sr. Network Administrator role at Monsanto - Seminis in 2004. In 2008, they were an IT Project Manager at the City of Oxnard, and then in 2009 they moved to Geographic Information Services, Inc. (now Axim Geospatial) as a Senior Solutions Engineer. John has remained in this role since then.
John Vilches attended Vassar College and studied Computer Science. In February 2020, they obtained a CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA.
