Alaurna Hooey

Alaurna Hooey is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in aerospace project management and engineering. Currently serving as a Payload Project Manager at Axiom Space since January 2022, Alaurna oversees the integration of in-space manufacturing and research client payloads into the International Space Station and Axiom Station. Prior roles include Payloads Interface Requirements Engineer at S&K Global Solutions, where Alaurna defined payload interface requirements for the ISS, and Crew Compartment Mission Manager at United Space Alliance/Bastion Technologies, focusing on Orbiter Crew Compartment configurations. Earlier experience includes software engineering positions at Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, where Alaurna was involved in the development and testing of software for NASA. Alaurna holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University.
